Cosmetics for Canada. CNF preparation.
Prepare CNF information, review Hotlist-related findings and organise English/French label text, including the Québec context.

From your product to CNF preparation
Turn existing product data into traceable notification documentation. This example separates preparation in INCIkit from actual submission to Health Canada.
Example: documentation for a facial product
Reuse product information and prepare a traceable notification workflow.
Use your product basis
Formula version, INCI, documented composition and product application provide a shared basis.
Connect information and responsibilities
Connect product information, ingredients and concentrations with the Canadian manufacturer/importer, actual formulator and notifier.
Record internal CNF preparation
Distinguish initial notification, amendment and discontinuation as case types. Link the form version to the product version and original evidence.
Submit externally and document actual evidence
Submit the official form to Health Canada. Then document the actual form, receipt evidence, identifiers and enquiries in INCIkit.
Hotlist and allergens
Review findings alongside the formula, application and raw material evidence. Source versions, conditions and missing information remain visible.

Work with connected Canadian product documentation
Bring product data and evidence together
Use your formula, product application and documented composition as a starting point. Link available raw material evidence to the appropriate product version.
Review Hotlist-related findings
Review substance and allergen findings with their sources and conditions. Add missing identities, amounts or evidence before deciding on your next steps.
Maintain EN/FR text and the Québec context
Work with English and French product text side by side. Keep additional Québec information and each label version separately traceable.
Prepare CNF information and cases
Bring product information, ingredients, concentrations and responsibilities together. Document initial notifications, amendments and discontinuation; actual submission evidence comes from the external notification channel.
Less repeated entry. A clearer overview.
Organise your CNF information
Keep the product name, application, ingredient information, concentrations and parties involved linked to the appropriate product version.
Keep a traceable notification history
Distinguish form versions, actual submissions, enquiries and responses. Keep original evidence linked to the relevant step.
Keep English and French text together
Maintain both language versions and save traceable label revisions. The Québec context remains visible as an additional area.
Connect findings with documentation
Associate Hotlist-related substance and allergen findings with your product and safety file. Outstanding conditions and source versions remain identifiable.
Distinguish preparation, notification and assessment
INCIkit prepares information and documentation. Submission takes place outside INCIkit using the official Health Canada form. Afterwards, document the actual submission and its evidence. A Cosmetic Number is an administrative identifier, not authorisation to sell.
Hotlist-related findings support work on substances and allergens. Missing identities, amounts or evidence remain unresolved. Québec is a separate area; this does not provide complete automated substance, labelling or market clearance for every province.
You enter and review the English and French text. Editing and preparation depend on active access, team role and usage limits. PDF/ZIP output depends on document type, plan and export limit; the pricing page explains the scope.
Questions about Canadian CNF preparation
How does INCIkit support the Cosmetic Notification Form?
Prepare product information, ingredients with their concentrations and the parties responsible. The internal CNF file connects these details with the product version and original records. Initial notifications, amendments and discontinuation remain distinct case types. Submit the official form to Health Canada outside INCIkit.
Does a Cosmetic Number authorise a product for sale?
No. Health Canada uses the Cosmetic Number as an administrative identifier. It does not establish product approval, compliance or safety. INCIkit keeps this identifier, the actual submission and available receipt evidence distinguishable.
What does Hotlist-related assessment mean?
INCIkit supports substance and allergen findings within the stated assessment scope, using your formula, application and available evidence. Conditions and missing information remain visible. The Health Canada Hotlist is not itself an exhaustive list of all requirements; a single positive finding does not replace a complete product assessment.
How are English, French and Québec handled?
Maintain English and French product text side by side and save traceable label versions. Québec is an additional area with its supported information and evidence. Text needs to be entered and reviewed; this does not imply automatic translation or complete Québec clearance.
Can I document amendments and authority enquiries?
Yes. Form versions and actual events retain their product and source references. Record submission evidence, enquiries, responses and assigned identifiers. A saved upload alone does not mean an authority received the documentation or an enquiry has been conclusively resolved.
Which plan do I need for Canadian documentation?
Editing and preparation require active access, the appropriate team role and available usage limits. File output also depends on document type, plan and export limit. The pricing page explains these services separately.
